Hans Hartman
General Manager, Turner Fisheries
Boston,
MA…. Hans Hartman came to the United States twenty years
ago with a goal to run a top-rated restaurant and lead it to success
in the booming food industry. Today he is following through on
that goal by recently accepting a position as the General Manager
for Turner Fisheries Restaurant & Bar.
“I
am excited to join the team at Turner Fisheries,” says Hartman.
“Turners is known for its fresh and outstanding seafood.
I look forward to working with the staff to take the restaurant
to the next level in guest experience.”
A
native from the Netherlands, Hartman most recently served a six
year term as General Manager for Boston Billiards Club in Boston.
His experience with Boston Billiards began as General Manager
at the West Springfield location before venturing to the city.
Between roles at the billiards club he served a short time as
Director of the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA where he managed
11 dining rooms, weddings, and special events.
Hartman
is quite at ease with the fact that Turner Fisheries is located
in the Westin Copley Place Boston Hotel and is no stranger to
the hotel industry. He spent nine years with Marriott International
in several roles beginning as a management trainee and Restaurant
Manager at the Castle Harbour in Bermuda and going on to become
Restaurant Manager, Director of Restaurants, and finally Front
Office Manager at the Boston Newton Marriott.
Hartman is fluent in English, Dutch and German and boasts a degree
from Middelbare Hotelschool in Groningen, Netherlands. He is also
an honorary recruiter for the United States Airforce.

The
famed Turner Fisheries has recently re-opened following a three
million-dollar renovation. The menu has been revised as well featuring
current, native seafood dishes and Turner's Hall-of-Fame clam
chowder. The restaurant's new design scheme includes Terrazzo
tile from Italy, floor to ceiling mahogany paneling, Hollywood
banquettes and seven foot high French Café bi-fold opening
windows overlooking Copley Square. The most spectacular addition
is the creation of three new private dining rooms, which can accommodate
up to 140 people. Turner Fisheries is located at the Westin Copley
Place Hotel, 10 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02116. Phone: (617)
