ENJOY SPECIALTY SEAFOOD AND A TRADITIONAL NEW ENGLAND CLAMBAKE
EACH MONTH THIS SUMMER AT TURNER FISHERIES
Boston, MA,
August 5, 2003 - During the summer months, Turner Fisheries has
been infusing its specialty seafood menu with dishes reaching
into the oceans around the globe.
In
August, seafood-lovers get fresh with seafood from the Gulf Coast
including Turner's own version of Gulf Snapper Ceviché.
Grouper and Pompano will be char grilled with spices from the
West Indies. These entrées are
perfect when accompanied by a thirst-quenching Mojito. Turners
has
created "Mojito Madness" with several versions of this
trendy drink featuring different combinations of mints like chocolate-mint,
pineapple-mint, orange-mint, and of course, regular mint. Those
who chose not to partake of these spirits can enjoy refreshing
non-alcoholic iced teas infused with fruit purees of blackberry,
kiwi or mango.
This
September, from the pristine waters of Iceland, Chef de Cuisine
Eric Heinrich is passionately preparing a variety delicate fish,
such as: Arctic Char, Bronzini, Redfish, and the sweet tasting
Langustino. Restaurant manager Jody Hornak was inspired to create
a unique "Platinum Martini" to celebrate the 20th Anniversary
of Turner Fisheries and the Westin Copley Place Boston this month,
and as the perfect accompaniment to Chef Heinrich's specialty
dishes. This tasty aperitif is concocted from Absolute Citron,
Cointreau, white cranberry juice, and garnished with platinum
sugar beads. Eye catching and sweet, this cocktail is sure to
be a favorite at Turner Fisheries this summer. Additionally, "Oyster
Shooters" will be on the menu as well. These shots combine
an assortment of vodkas with a freshly shucked oyster at the bottom
of the glass. An interesting way to sample Turner's signature
raw bar item.
Finally,
in celebration of a classic New England Summer tradition, Turner
Fisheries will offer its famous clambake entrée Friday
and Saturday nights.
Join
in on the summer's most favored meal with a cup of Turner's "Hall-of-Fame"
clam chowder, steamed Maine lobster with drawn butter, Chatham's
top neck clams, and Prince Edward Island mussels. This personal
New England clambake is completed with sweet corn on the cob,
red bliss potatoes, corn bread, and Boston crème pie for
dessert. Price is $49.00 per person, plus tax.
The
famed Turner Fisheries has recently re-opened following a three
million-dollar renovation. The menu has been revised as well featuring
current, native seafood dishes and Turner's Hall-of-Fame clam
chowder. The restaurant's new design scheme includes Terrazzo
tile from Italy, floor to ceiling mahogany paneling, Hollywood
banquettes and seven foot high French Café bi-fold opening
windows overlooking Copley Square. The most spectacular addition
is the creation of three new private dining rooms, which can accommodate
up to 140 people. Turner Fisheries is located at the Westin Copley
Place Hotel, 10 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02116. Phone: (617)
